Shah Daulat, the young, energetic lad from Shimshal Valley, reached the top of K2 on July-22-2022. He paid tribute to his cousin brothers, "Meherban Karim and Jehan Baig", who perished in the deadliest mountaineering accident on K2 in 2008, by dedicating the summit to them.
Shah was always inspired by his brother Meherban Karim who was also known as "Karim The Dream". He always had the same enthusiasm for mountaineering that his older brother Karim had. He had always wanted to climb K2, ever after his cousin Karim perished there. He was still young at the time when his brother Karim died on K2, therefore his family didn't allow him for climbing. He was able to mature into a strong man and reached to the top of K2.
He managed to climb the treacherous slopes of K2 despite the difficult conditions and his tremendous determination and courage. As he fulfills a lifetime dream.

Thanks to Mirza Ali, who trusted the young man and gave him the chance to check his skills marking the beginning of Shah's mountaineering career and his first experience.

Without his technical assistance and inspiration, it would have been nearly impossible to realize this dream. Sirbaz Khan deserves praise for his big-brother-like motivation and assistance, as well as the support of all climbers, sherpas, porters, and well-wishers.

Ninguno de nuestros sherpas ni miembros superó el C2 y se suponía que íbamos a establecer nuestro C3 antes del ascenso a la cumbre, pero estoy aquí con mi mejor equipo y no nos damos por vencidos fácilmente.

No estamos listos para atacar cumbre, pero daremos lo mejor de nosotros como siempre. Los miembros de mi equipo están decididos y mentalmente preparados. Tengo plena confianza en mi equipo y volveremos a casa después de una cumbre segura.

Tenemos con nosotros a Rene Dai holandés de 65 años, que está intentando K2 por 5ª vez, y solo él es suficiente para inspirarnos hacia nuestra meta. Voy a tener una foto con él en la cumbre.
