The Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) has taken action against 159 recruitment agencies for routing Nepali migrant workers through Indian airports without prior authorisation, violating the Foreign Employment Act, 2007. Eight repeat offenders were fined Rs50,000 each, while 434 other agencies were warned for failing to submit mandatory records of workers' departures.
