Kathmandu — The government led by Prime Minister B***n Shah has advanced the process of investigating the assets of political leadership and high-level employees who have been in public over the past three decades.
The government plans to investigate the property of people in public after 2063 in the first phase and then investigate the details of people in the post from 2048 to 2062.
It has been decided to form a high-level commission within 15 days for this. The commission will study asset details from political leadership to higher administrative level.
Political instability, government change, corruption and various controversial incidents were widely seen in Nepal after the restoration of democracy in 2047 15 governments were formed in 15 years between 2048 to 2062, which reflects the volatility of the political system.
During that time, leaders including Girijaprasad Koirala, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Surya Bahadur Thapa, Lokendra Bahadur Chand had become Prime Ministers repeatedly while then King Gyanendra Shah also conducted direct rule twice.
In this period, political distortion, corruption, struggle for power and conflict increased deep dissatisfaction among the people, which ultimately set the journey from the end of monarchy to the establishment of republic.
The government has now aimed to ensure transparency and accountability through investigating the property of people in public position during the same period.

A new scientific study has shown that people living in different parts of the world have developed similarly after the human society adopted agriculture 10 thousand years ago. The study of DNA (genome) derived from living people and ancient human remains has found this conclusion.
According to Laura Colbran, a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania in the U.S. has found evidence that various human groups have natural selection (selection) in similar genes and physical characteristics. According to him, the change in human lifestyle since agriculture started created new types of biological pressure, which affected human development.
According to scientists, a particular gene or genetic characteristics appear more in a population is an indication of development (evolution). Researchers say the real genetic change in human history could be more clearly understood while studying the DNA of ancient humans.
More than 7 thousand ancient and modern human genomes were analyzed in this study. Most of the ancient genomes are from within the last 10 thousand years while modern genomes are taken from living people now.
The research team had compared the actual genome by predicting what modern human genome should have been based on ancient genome. In this order, they discovered 31 genetic changes, which many changes were seen alike in different population of the world. According to scientists, the main reason for this is the start of agriculture in many parts of the world at the same time.
The study has also shown changes related to the gene named FADS1. This gene helps transform botanical fats (fatty acids) useful in the body. It is estimated that people with such genes have benefited after the increase in plant-based food. Now this gene is found in more than three quarter people of Europe, Japan and North China.
Similarly another change related to the gene called ADH1B, which is related to the alcohol digestion process. This gene is widely visible in East Asia, which reacts like a red face when consuming alcohol. According to scientists, it may have been naturally selected as it discourages excessive alcohol consumption.
The research team also studied some features related to body structure, such as waist and hip ratio (waist-hip ratio). Research indicates that this ratio in women is natural choice to maintain within certain limits, which is considered to be related to fertility.
According to Harvard University researcher Alexander Gusev, this study is important, as it presents clear evidence that similar type of development in different population. According to him, this possibility was raised earlier, but it was not so clearly proved.
More new facts about human development are expected to unfold as the number of ancient DNA available now increases, according to researchers.

Yes, it is the responsibility of their journalism to make a documentary by BBC. It is necessary for democracy for the state suppression, shooting and misuse of power to be public. But the problem begins here with the habit of concluding what we see is the whole truth.
The documentary presents former IGP Chandra Kuber Khapung. But let's ask a real question, is the IGP independent power center in a political structure like Nepal? Can he make such decision without the information or pressure of Home Ministry, Council of Ministry and powerful leaders in power?
The state structure is not the person, but the system.
Command in the system goes down from the top, not from the bottom.
If the shooting was fired it wasn't just a decision to press the trigger, that decision was the result of all levels of making environment, ordering, supporting silence and politically benefiting.
Oh my brothers and sisters, don't believe the headline. Question the structure Chain of command does not end in IGP, there is politics, power, selfishness.
Yes, Khapung is also responsible. Our brothers and sisters are killed. If we blame only one face we lose real questions:
Who was in power?
Who was the Home Ministry under control?
Who approved the policy of suppression?
Who took the political advantage?
The documentary becomes a medium to give "closure" to the public if answers to these questions are not searched, but not the absolute truth. If these leaders are always played in the feelings that we are straightforward people then it is easier to divide, forget and control us.
