The Ministry of Finance (अर्थ मन्त्रालय), Government of Nepal, has issued a notice on behalf of the Selection and Recommendation Committee for the appointment of the Administrator of the Employees' Provident Fund (Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh) through an open competitive process.

📋 Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria
✅ Candidates must meet the qualifications and experience criteria specified in Section 6A of the Employees' Provident Fund Act, 2019 (२०१९).
✅ Candidates must not be disqualified under Section 4 of the Criteria Related to the Appointment and Nomination of Office Bearers and Members of Public Bodies Associated with the Ministry of Finance, 2073 (२०७३).
📝 Application Process & Requirements
Interested and qualified Nepalese citizens are required to submit a highly confidential, sealed envelope to the Financial Sector Management and Corporation Coordination Division (वित्तीय क्षेत्र व्यवस्थापन तथा संस्थान समन्वय महाशाखा), Singha Durbar, Kathmandu. The application must include:
✅ Self-attested copies of academic qualifications, experience certificates, and Nepalese citizenship certificate.
✅ Personal details (Bio-Data/CV) and 2 passport-size photographs.
✅ Documents, declarations, and information as prescribed by Section 3 of the relevant Selection Procedure, 2083, downloadable from www.mof.gov.np.
✅ A comprehensive Business Work Plan (व्यवसायिक कार्ययोजना) not exceeding 5,000 words in a sealed envelope, as per Section 5 of the procedure. The envelope must be clearly marked: "कर्मचारी सञ्चय कोषको प्रशासकका लागि आवेदन तथा व्यवसायिक कार्ययोजना" (Application and Business Work Plan for the Administrator of Employees' Provident Fund).
✅ Shortlisted candidates will be required to present their submitted Business Work Plan at a designated date and time.
💵 Application Fee & Remuneration
✅ Fee: NPR 5,000 (Five Thousand Rupees).
✅ Payment Details: The original voucher must be submitted, deposited at Rastriya Banijya Bank, Singha Durbar Branch under Ministry of Finance Office
✅ Remuneration: Monthly salary and other benefits will be provided on a contract basis according to the terms specified in the agreement.

UPCWGS GRANT 2027
CALL FOR RESEARCH PROPOSALS: 2027 UPCWGS RESEARCH GRANT
The University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UPCWGS) is now accepting proposals for its 2027 UPCWGS Research Grant. The grant aims to support cutting-edge research on women and gender in the Philippines.
The UPCWGS will award up to PhP100,000 to four (4) research projects on women and gender in the Philippines. Researchers who propose a higher amount than the stated limit will be automatically rejected. The research must be completed within a nine-month period. Researchers will then be given two (2) additional months to prepare a journal article and a policy brief. The journal article will undergo review by the Review of Women’s Studies (RWS), and the researcher must complete any revisions required by RWS according to the journal’s timeline.
Eligibility. The sole researcher, or the project leader of the research team, must be a regular employee of the University of the Philippines (Instructors, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Professors, and UP contractual). This person must also hold a minimum SG-16.

-Recommendation letter from the project leader’s past or present supervisor
-We will give preference to applicants who submit a writing sample consisting of a published work or a manuscript accepted for publication (with a supporting acceptance letter), such as a peer-reviewed academic or journal article, book chapter, or monograph (excluding theses and dissertations). Preference will also be given to applicants who are lead or sole authors of the submitted work. Applications that demonstrate strong alignment with the thematic and methodological concerns of the UPCWGS Review of Women’s Studies will receive priority consideration.
Selection criteria. Research proposals will be evaluated based on: timeliness and relevance of the topic, creativity of approach, methodological soundness, contribution to knowledge, potential social impact, and effectiveness of writing style.
Terms and conditions. Awarded projects will receive an initial outlay of 20% of the grant around the start of the project. The remaining funds will be released in four tranches upon submission of three progress reports, one journal article for publication in the Review of Women’s Studies together with one policy brief. Total grant budget must follow the DBM Budget Circular No. 2007-2 (as applied by COA in audit), which says that the total honoraria received by a government employee for special projects shall not exceed 25% of the employee’s annual basic salary, unless otherwise authorized by law. The grant proceeds will be treated as honoraria and deposited to the project leader’s account.
