Route-Fixing Team Successfully Opens Route to the Summit of Mount Everest for Spring 2026 Season
The route-fixing and rope installation work to the summit of Mount Everest has been successfully completed, officially opening the climbing route for the Spring 2026 expedition season.
The rope-fixing team, deployed under the Expedition Operators Association Nepal (EOAN), reached the summit on May 13, 2026, at approximately 10:25 AM, successfully completing the official route construction and rope-fixing operations to the world’s highest peak.
Led by Mingma Dorchi Sherpa, the team established the climbing route and fixed ropes to the summit, helping ensure a safer and more organized ascent for expeditions during the 2026 spring climbing season.
