शिवजीका मातापिता को हुन ?
शिव महापुराणमा भगवान शिव र उहाँका आमाबाबुको जन्मको उल्लेख छ। श्रीमद्देवी महापुराणका अनुसार एक पटक ब्रह्माजी र विष्णु जी बीच कुनै कुरामा झगडा भयो, तब ब्रह्माजीले भने कि म तिम्रो पिता हुँ र तिमी मबाट उत्पन्न भएको हो। तर दुवैबीच धेरै बहस भयो र कुनै समाधान हुन सकेको छैन । त्यसपछि सदाशिव त्यहाँ पुगे र भने– छोराहरू, मैले तिमीलाई संसारको सृष्टिको लागि पठाएको छु र शिवलाई तिरोगतिको काम सुम्पेको छु । यसरी शिवकी आमाको नाम अष्टाङ्गी देवी र बाबुको नाम सदाशिव हो।
