We're incredibly proud of Adventales for winning our first ever public pitch! Public as in, anyone that wanted to come and learn could be in the audience. Only the game studios in the Spawn Point accelerator program were pitching on stage.

Adventales Wins Spawn Point Trondheim’s First Public Game Pitch Event Adventales with the first Spawn Point Trondheim game pitch event in Trondheim.

Last week we had the privilege of hosting Susie McBeth, CMO at Raw Fury to teach us about some of the preperations the teams can do for their games and what to think about in relation to finding their market and communicating with this market.
Susie's varied and vast experience launching so many games is extremely valuable to us. We had one day to go through some essentials and then the second day she generously gave each studio an hour long one-on-one to discuss their plans. We're very thankful for her contribution and we know it will help all of us along!

Our game developers will be pitching to an expert panel with Devolver Digital, Focus Entertainment, Akupara Games, offbrand games, Bifrost Entertainment, Joystiq Ventures and Active Gaming Media!

GameDev Trondheim will be hosting an event in the evening for mingling, updates on game development in the region and food!

We officially started the Spawn Point Trondheim program with our second batch of game developers on Thursday. The workshop was mostly about getting to know each other, the games, the game studios and what our aspirations are.
We were very pleased to have a veteran from the games industry here, Jon Grande, who could share his experience which ranged from signing games, pitching games, running production, investing in game studios, analytics and pitching. Whilst each game studios' pitch was the focus point we had discussions about growth, team management, opportunities, market reach, money, marketing, publishers, negotiation, vision, how the game evolves with financial partners and a little more about money.
We learned so much from the conversations, pitches, Jon and the game developers. And we were also really pleased with this year's selection of game studios and their eagerness to learn and get better at business development. It's important for us that the teams work on finding their own voice, vision and sale goals rather than have a template and that requires a lot of discussion, questions, practice and learning. And the room at Work-Work was overflowing with this energy. This is going to be fun!
Thanks again to Jon Grande for flying out here and engaging with all of us, asking the right questions and shining his flashlight of experience on the paths of opportunity ahead of his. And thank you to StartupTRD for their support and engagement as we all learn to navigate this industry and works towards success!
