My sculptures showed up in an important place this week. In NRK's new feature "Det usynlige arret" (The Invisible Scar), researcher and social anthropologist Ragnhild Elise Johansen uses one of the anatomical sculptures I make while talking about FGM/C and the lack of care available to affected women in Norway.
The article is a hard read, but an important one. It follows two women through their journeys toward reconstruction surgery in Paris, because that option doesn't exist in Norway.
Education and body literacy are small but real parts of changing that landscape. That's why I make what I make.

Denne uken dukket skulpturene mine opp et viktig sted. I NRKs nye reportasje "Det usynlige arret" bruker forsker og sosialantropolog Ragnhild Elise Johansen en av de anatomiske skulpturene jeg lager mens hun snakker om kjønnslemlestelse og mangelen på helhetlig hjelp til berørte kvinner i Norge.
Artikkelen er tung, men viktig. Den følger to kvinner gjennom reisen mot rekonstruksjonskirurgi i Paris, fordi det tilbudet ikke finnes i Norge.
Kunnskap om kroppen er en liten, men reell del av å endre det bildet. Det er derfor jeg lager det jeg lager.

How do you think about consent?
I just spent two days in Gothenburg with talking about consent. The Nordic Conference of the Erasmus funded project Youth4Consent. Meeting with organizations , ,, and .
This was an arena to brainstorm, share strategies, campaign ideas, and inspiration 🙌🏾.
How to talk about consent, the laws around it in the Nordics and how to empower and discuss what consent means in relationships.
I look forward to exchanges, collaborations , and future competitions as too which Nordic country is best in consent.
It was lovely 😍 too see the passion and engagment of people working for safer spaces and understanding.

FGM affects millions of girls and women worldwide and has serious lifelong health consequences.
In Norway, NAKK strengthens prevention, support and professional knowledge by connecting professionals, research and organisations working to prevent FGM.

Today, I’m sharing this film from the World Health Organization to raise awareness, support survivors, and stand for the rights, health, and dignity of women and girls everywhere.
Ending FGM requires education, open conversation, and collective action.
Let’s learn, speak up, and help protect future generations.
