The last day of the 'Majestic in Death' tour was a bit of a whirlwind, but I managed to get photos with almost all the guys in Suffocation, who were super friendly, and great fun to tour with.
They've been one of my favourite bands for a very long time (I used to proudly cut about my high school with a baggy 'Human Waste' shirt), so it was really cool to hear their crushing set every night. And they were an absolute force live. I watched from the side or in the crowd when I had time, but even listening backstage there was no denying they're one of the heaviest bands on the planet - in one green room little bits of the ceiling even started crumbling onto our heads!
The whole tour package was great, and the last slide is a photo of (almost) all the band members and crew of , , , and .
Thanks to everyone who came out to see us and helped make this a top notch tour across the US. Catch you at the next one!

Back in Scotland, trying to stave off the jetlag with a quick walk around the Glen Moss Wildlife Reserve Trail. Very toasty today!

This is my 40 year old face! My bandmates complimented this particular paint job, so I thought I'd take a picture for posterity.
With today being the last show of the tour, and my birthday, there's potential for it to get a little messy. Maybe being middle-aged will help me stay semi-sensible though.
Massive thanks to everyone who's been in touch with kind wishes!

Just two shows left on what has been an excellent tour of the US! We're at the Bourbon Theater in Lincoln tonight, then we finish up tomorrow in Denver (and I also happen to turn 40 🤯).

Industry meets nature on the Mississippi. What a pleasant walk down by Father Hennepin Bluff Park!
I've been thinking a wee bit about Prince today in Minneapolis. I was considering a visit to Paisley Park, but, like the last time we played this venue in 2018 on the Cryptoriana Tour, it's a Wednesday, and it's closed. Maybe next time.

Despite what I said in an earlier post, cabin fever eventually trumped my tiredness, and luckily there was a forest within walking distance of the bus. There, all the beautiful animals came swiftly unto me! I'd never seen a raccoon before in all my life, so that was a real treat.

It's the last day off on this tour, and there isn't a whole lot to show from our car park. That's fine though - I was in need of a restful day spent being static instead of gallivanting. Here are a couple of live shots by in the meantime.
We wrap the tour up with a run of five, starting tomorrow in Chicago!
May 19 - Chicago, IL - Bottom Lounge
May 20 - Minneapolis, MN - Varsity Theater
May 21 - Lawrence, KS - Granda Theater
May 22 - Lincoln, NE - Bourbon Theater
May 23 - Denver, CO - Gothic Theater

Believe or not, this place was a massive malleable iron plant until 2007. It now makes for a pleasant wander, with a plethora of birdlife, just 10 minutes' walk from today's venue.
See us tonight at The Vault in Saginaw!
Here's a clip from my first ever live performance as Braefarer, taken at Sleazy's in Glasgow last month.
This is a snippet from a brand new song called 'The Future Fades', which is ready for recording once I get back from tour.
The old-school camcorder footage was taken by , and I mixed in the desk audio, which was kindly provided by .
