How many times haven’t I’ve been told the sentence «for you it’s easy, you’re an artist». Like I’ve always had the position I have now…

I have definitely not forgotten my road to be where I am today and trust me, it’s been everything but easy!
I can only speak for myself but I think most of the artists on top today have had to fight their way through to be where they are, and for the ones of us that has been here for many years… we also had a different fight: the struggle of being seen and to set trends without the help of social media. Then when social media changed the game, we also had to change ours.

The struggles, the people that couldn’t see the possibilities I saw, the criticism, the doubts, the injures, the pain, the never ending To-Do lists, the smiles you have to force through, the moments you just want to be alone, the moments you’re in the biggest crowds but feeling completely alone, the reality of having no routine, the feeling of wanting to quit… BUT you won’t. Cause you know you came too far to give up and quitting is just not an option… not when the fire inside you burns stronger than the fire around you!
Some of these struggles are done, some are constantly ongoing, some come and go.

These are just few examples of how it can feel, one thing is certain: ITS NOT EASY, BUT that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do it!
None of the artists in the Bachata scene was born into it, we have all been fighting to be where we are… remember that next time you’re having a hard time ♥️💪🏼
