Introducing "Simple Life". This song was written by Kim Edward Bergseth and myself about 20 years ago. I was such a big fan of Edwyn Collins, and remember telling Kim that I would love to have a guitar part in the style of "A Girl Like You". The great guitarist that he is, he totally nailed it in my opinion, and the song was born. The lyric was very much autobiographic, me having trouble settling. I felt the world calling, and ended up travelling it for the next 15 years or so. The video is from my first ever solo concert with a full band at Soria Moria in Oslo 2008. Great memories. Introducing “Rivers of Longing”.

This song would be long lost and forgotten, if it hadn’t been for Audun Pettersen. 🤷‍♀️
After the post I made about Such a Pity, trying to find out who produced it, he sent me a CD with 16 demos my sister Trude gave him almost 20 years ago. On the CD was this song. I had to listen a couple of times before I could remember writing it. Now I think it’s one of my favourites on “The Lost Demos. “
The sad, yet hopeful melancholy, still speaks to me. I think it captures the vibe of caring about someone, and worrying sick about them at the same time, remaining hopeful. 🌺
I’m happy it was recovered and that I’m able to share it. Hope you like it, too! Happy weekend, everybody.❤️
