One of the main 5 routes build in the Edo period this road follows the coastline near the Pacific Ocean. This Metal clad building took my attention it was of a bright yellow colour. Was it a radio station a workshop of some sort or maybe it was abandoned. I surely don’t know but magic it definitely had.

Just finished this piece called 平和 “Heiwa” it means peace in Japanese.
In diabolical times we can only “keep calm and carry on” and draw… draw… draw>

Jippie! Today’s print art fair 🔥🔥🔥 at Louis Hartlooper Complex Utrecht.

Zaterdag 18 april is het zover en sta ik met mijn werk op de Pop-Up Print Art Fair in het Louis Hartlooper Complex. Wil je ook een hoogwaardige print van mijn serie Dreaming Demons aan de muur. Geïnspireerd op de Otaku cultuur in Japan vermengt met mijn fascinatie voor monsterlijke machines en infrastructuur. Kom dan ook een kijkje nemen en laat je verassen of voor een praatje natuurlijk! Er staat een prachtige line-up aan kunstenaars. Locatie: Louis Hartlooper Complex te Utrecht, 11:00 - 17:00.

Otaku (Japans: おたく, オタク), of buitenstaander, is een andere benaming voor het woord geek, met name gebruikt voor personen die obsessief bezig zijn met anime en manga. De term otaku wordt vaak gebruikt door anime- en mangafans om zichzelf te beschrijven. In het Westen is het een term die meestal vragen opwekt omdat deze niet algemeen bekend is buiten de anime-/mangacultuur.

Ooh en voor ik het vergeet dit nieuwste werk heet Ice Cream Van, ze is net af.

Tonight the Artemis II takes off for a trip around the moon. In 1969 the first astronauts landed on the moon with the Apollo missions. This work depicts the 1969 missions. Most of these astronauts and technicians who build this incredible stuff are not among us anymore. However their demons might still be flying around.
