About
I live in the South of Rotterdam. My surroundings and the street I live in form the main inspiration for my work.
Everyone speaks their own language. Not only spoken or written, but also body language, imagery, history, cultural archive and the behavioral codes of your environment. What I noticed is that a lot of people don’t take the effort to understand other languages and tend to only listen to their own. They interpret their own language as an absolute truth.
Since I was young I have been really passionate about hip hop. What intriges me is how a hiphop artist is able to take you along into their world. As an illustrator I adopt that technique in order to submerge the viewer into my world. Through the medium of Illustration I try to give people a different view on contemporary problems within our society.
