Personal and touristic IP conference in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Organized by Markenizer. The Rotterdam Connection is an event organised by Markenizer BV.
The purpose is to create a personal, touristic, IP conference. There will be interesting seminars on the European Trademark Reform, European and Benelux design rights and European maintenance of IP rights. Also, we will visit the touristic highlights of Rotterdam and The Hague, like the Port of Rotterdam, Kinderdijk, The Peace Palace and the Mauritshuis Museum. This event will be held 13, 14 and 1

In the picture you see the famous ‘Kubuswoningen’ in Rotterdam. These cube houses are designed by architect Piet Blom. There is a ‘Kijk-Kubus’ (Show-Cube) that is a furnished museum house. Rotterdam is known for its modern architecture. A good example of this is the Central Station. Due to the design, the building has received several nicknames. In 2013 there was a internetcontest and the winning nickname was ‘Kapsalon’. This is a Dutch fast food, originally from Rotterdam. It is a tradition in Rotterdam to name buildings, bridges, streets etc.

In the picture you see the famous Markthal, one of the tourstic highlights in Rotterdam. The Markthal has hundreds of fresh food stands, food shops and restaurants. Furthermore, the ceiling is a complete artwork. This is probably why the Markthal has been referred to as ‘the Dutch version of the Sistine Chapel’.
