DECHA is on the move!
It's finally time for that next step. We're moving to a new place, where I'll have better workshop with a bit more space and much improved accessibility. I have very good feeling about this, as well as high hopes, particularily for being able to engage in more furniture flipping projects. Stay tuned for more details of the new DECHA home đđđ

A small introduction of a new product on board! (Pun unintended đ). At DECHA I also create sushi serving planks - each piece is unique due to the use of reclaimed wood. Feel free to pm me if you're interested in ordering one for yourself or maybe as a gift?

I finally had the chance to get back to the bedroom beam project - today I'm leaching the wood and hopefully mounting slats. After endless deliberations I went with lye - the stain I ordered made the wood look rotten, but on the other hand I didn't really want to white wash the beams. Lye was a perfect choice then - it helps to keep that natural brightness of raw untreated wood and it prevents pine/spruce wood from turning yellowish over time.
Oh, and pardon that grumpy expression, it's just really hot up there today đ

The balcony floor was looking miserable after winter, so it was time for another home makeover project, and with some TLC I brought it back to its former glory đ Next thing in order is bringing the hammock out of its winter hibernation đĨ°

Today I finished yet another project, and I must admit that I really enjoyed working on something like that. The speakers are Wharfedale Danton 2 that I found at a thrift shop. I fell head over heels for their midcentury look and took them home hoping that they actually work đ As it turns out they give very nice, warm sound and quite a bass for vintage speakers. I couldn't help myself and added that lovely brass detail, to bring out the elegance of this simple design.
If you want to refresh your vintage speakers, or maybe just find a "new" old set and restore it - go ahead and write me a message! I'd love to do more projects like this one!
