We're currently looking into the potential of 'local co-working spaces' - working spaces within walking/travelling distance of your home, in your community.
It's clear from the ongoing discussions that there's a real mix of preferences between home and office working, with the old concept of 'the third space' in between becoming more important than ever.
We'd love to know your opinion on an alternative working space right on your doorstep - do you have one, do/would you use it, what would you expect it to look like, and how much would you want to pay for it?
If you're interested, please could you complete the brief survey below (4-5 mins max, up to 10 questions) - and also share if you can... the more submissions, the more meaningful it will be. I'll share back whatever learning comes out of it.
Thank you!

Absolutely love this sculpture in Rotterdam, partly because it could easily be a street in Leeds (barring the tram lines.)

Some more 'out of town inspiration' while we're not going to new places ourselves. This time - Guha, a project undertaken by Realrich Sjarief of RAW Architecture
The Project consist of Omah Library, Dental Clinic, residence and Realrich Sjarief’s studio named Guha Bambu - so many incredible spaces, well worth clicking on the link below to see more.

We're not doing much (any) visiting of local spaces at the moment, so here's another 'out of town inspiration' for you...
This is a Galleria department store in the new city of Gwanggyo in South Korea - designed by OMA / Chris van Duijn - an incredible pixelated, voxelated (I don't know what I'm talking about) building that manages to feel both CGI and alt-organic all at the same time.

It seems A LONG time ago now, but here is Jack Simpson of Hyde Park Book Club, Eiger Studios and others talking about spaces in Leeds.
His most important point to me, is that there are literally NEVER enough spaces, partly because people are desperate for spaces, but also because people are imaginative and will constantly think of interesting things to do with them!
Hyde Park Book Club is a perfect example of this - obviously with the lockdown at the moment, they are majorly affected like most of the other space providers in the area, so keep them in your thoughts, and look out for ways to still keep using their services and supporting them - now or when this finally starts to pass.
(I for one am really looking forward to getting back out to brilliant spaces like this!)
