“Nā Kāne ʻElima” is a Hula documentary that follows five young men who find purpose, healing, and identity through Hula. As they prepare for the biggest stage of their lives, they build a brotherhood rooted in discipline, culture, and shared experience—dancing not only for themselves, but for each other and the stories they carry beyond the stage.

“What a Privilege” is an intimate portrait of purpose, opportunity, and the quiet inheritance that shapes who we become. Set in Rotterdam, Netherlands, the film follows Maria, a 22-year-old transformative art student, during a year in which her major is being phased out — a moment that forces her to confront what it truly means to pursue a purpose in a world where not everyone can.
Through the rhythm of her days — biking through the city, creating in the studio, serving drinks late into the night, and returning home to her parents in Dordrecht — Maria begins to reflect on the privilege that makes her pursuit possible. She recognizes that the opportunity to study art, to search for meaning, to chase a dream, is not universal; it is built on the sacrifices of those who came before her. Her parents’ hard work, stability, and love form the invisible foundation that gives her the chance to imagine a life driven by creativity.
As Maria navigates a world increasingly shaped by technology and uncertainty, the film explores a central idea: understanding one’s privilege is not about guilt — it is about gratitude and responsibility. When we acknowledge the opportunities we’ve been given, we gain the courage to create boldly, to use our purpose to inspire change, and to honor the sacrifices that allowed us to dream at all.
At its core, “What a Privilege” asks viewers to reconsider the meaning of purpose. Perhaps not everyone gets the chance to chase a calling. Perhaps some never discover it. And perhaps, for others, being alive — simply existing, creating, loving, contributing — is itself a purpose.
With warm natural light, still frames, and intimate interviews, the film captures the beauty of ordinary life while posing a profound question:
If you have the privilege to pursue your purpose, what will you do with it?

2026 is about chasing stories that matter.
Documentary filmmaking isn’t just what I do — it’s how I listen, learn, and create change.
This year, I’m committing to telling human stories that inspire hope and shift how we live.
Let’s see where this purpose takes me. 🎥
