Update 1805 V2.0
Paint is on the body

YES YES YES!!!!!
Finally the 1804 is fully ready, took me a while to finalise the build, due to the fact to warm on the attic.

But here it is.

Update MABD1804.
paint has been applied on body and roof and roof details. This paintjob is my first real airbrush paintjob.

Now waiting for the decals to arrive so I can give the whole model a coat of satin varnish, and after that I can add the windows and mount the body to the chassis.
The benches are also ready to be fitted once the varnish is on

Update scratchbuild motor carriage MABD1804.

Think its now 3 or 4 weeks since I started this new body, because of an error I made regarding the overall length of the first version.

Changed my view on the the curved roof and decided to make it out of brass sheet .2mm. Rolled it into the desired shape, the ends of the roof made out of stacked 1mm styrene and sand it with a small electric sander into shape.

Styren and brass are tagged with CA the further glued with straight acryllic matt medium fir a durable bond, CA tends to get brittle with time and I don't want my model to fall apart because of failing CA.

My brass skills are non existence, that's why my main building material is styrene.

Stay tuned for updates.

New project underway, motorcariage MABD1804 of the former RTM.

First pictures the prototype, inside and outside. The museum is almost around the corner were I live, and you are allowed to get in to make detail pictures, great if you building stuff.

Of course build from my favourite building material polystyrene sheet with additional Evergreen strips.
Drive is from a Roco blokkendoos with one extended driveshaft.

Decoder will be an ESU loksound V5, my standard.
Updates will follow as soon as there are updates.
Thank you for viewing.
