TU Eindhoven’s Central Crisis Team (CCT) aims to make the educational platform Canvas available again to TU/e instructors on May 13 at 12 noon. Students will hopefully be able to use Canvas again starting Monday morning. The issues instructors encountered appear to have been resolved through flexibility and ingenuity.

First-year Psychology & Technology student Daniëlle Philippen is organizing an open stage event together with fellow students, featuring around ten performances to raise money for the Trees for All foundation. For every ticket sold, the organization will plant a tree. It is TU Eindhoven student Philippen’s sixth campaign supporting trees.

If you park your non-electric car in a charging spot on the TU Eindhoven campus, you may receive a warning or even a wheel clamp. According to TU/e parking management, you are then parked incorrectly. However, this rule is not explicitly stated on a sign on site or in the university's parking policy.

TU Eindhoven, through the Eindhoven University Fund, and HighTechXL are launching PreSeed XL. The 11 million euro fund is intended to provide early-stage deep-tech startups with financial support and expertise.

The women’s soccer team from Eindhoven-based student club Pusphaira will travel to the European Universities Games (EUG) this summer. Fifteen sports disciplines will come together in Salerno, Italy, for this European student championship, which takes place from July 18 through August 1. Participating comes with significant costs.

TU Eindhoven will not restore the connection to Canvas in the coming days, as the cyberattack on the educational platform does not yet appear to be under control. The Executive Board (CvB) announced this on the intranet Friday evening.

Due to maintenance work on the road surface, De Lismortel on the TU Eindhoven campus will be partially closed from May 11 onwards. The work will be carried out in phases over a period of six weeks to minimize disruption for campus users.

An equal dialogue: that is what TU Eindhoven aims to achieve with its “new style” annual review format: the Annual Dialogue Cycle. Professional development, well-being, and performance will take center stage. All managers will be required to complete training in giving and receiving feedback.

TU Eindhoven has disconnected its integration with Canvas after hackers managed to breach the platform again. Students and staff are urgently requested not to log in to Canvas.

Hackers group ShinyHunters has given educational institutions six more days to pay ransom money, while ramping up the pressure with a new breach. The group is threatening to publish the data of 275 million Canvas users worldwide, including TU/e staff members and students. The chances of TU Eindhoven giving in appear slim, according to a spokesperson.
