Policy Reform, not Evictions! The Case of Slum Urbanisation in Khartoum, Sudan A radical reform of Khartoum’s housing policy is required to improve the living conditions of slum dwellers. For this, we need to examine the socio-economic situation of the urban poor and of those who live in the city’s informal settlements.

The power of the builders. These two young women won our ideas competition Confronting Informality Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment TU Delft funded by the City of The Hague, TBM and Delft Global and decided to exchange their prize money for two places at our Summer School. Rahfatun Nisa Nova and Nazila Sabrin Zaman are two fierce architects from Bangladesh working to produce positive change. It was an honour to meet you… you are definitely going places!
