Why should you check your healthcare insurance? Because every year the goverment can change the basic insurance and this can affect you. These changes can go from a change in price to a difference in coverage.

Your healthcare provider is obligated to inform you about these changes. Maybe you already received an e-mail or letter?

By dutch law, you must have healthcare insurance. The type of healthcare insurance you need depends on your personal situation. International students who study or work in the Netherlands are legally required to have health insurance. If by law you need a dutch health care insurance and you don't have one, it is possible you recieve a fine of over €400,-
