Last Thursday, we brought together 75 participants at Internet Measurement Day Sofia, hosted by Technical University of Sofia, in collaboration with ICANN and with the support of Internet Society.

It was great to see people from different industries come together to exchange experiences and shape the best practices on measuring the Internet.

Throughout the day, we explored topics including DNS measurement with RIPE Atlas, routing analysis with RIPEstat and RIS, RPKI and IPv6 uptake in South East Europe, ICANN’s Domain Metrica research, L-root traffic in Bulgaria, and academic and industry engagement opportunities.

The Central Asia Peering and Interconnection Forum returns for its fifth edition on 24–25 September 2026 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. 🇹🇯

CAPIF brings together the people building and strengthening Internet connectivity across Central Asia, including ISPs, network operators, IXPs, regulators and technical experts.

We are looking for presentations that bring practical value to the regional Internet community: deployment stories, operational lessons, measurement findings, policy perspectives and case studies.
