I know this sounds totally crazy, but I assure you it's not. It's a thing in Nicaragua 🇳🇮. Okay, I know you are saying Nicaragua? Yes... Nicaragua. It's absolutely not what you think.

Last summer I took a trip with a group of other travel agents to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. We were all skeptical, but it was a business trip and if we decided to do a group trip to Costa Rica we wanted to ensure our travelers got every one of their coins 💰 out of the trip.

Crossing over the border into Nicaragua from Costa Rica is a simple process. You get out of your vehicle, go thru the customs process, walk over the border into Nicaragua and be on your merry way. Well, it's a tad bit more detailed, but trust it's an easy process.

Once we arrived in Nicaragua we were pleasantly surprised about the history of the country and definitely surprised that the Nicaraguan cigar runs neck and neck with the Cuban cigar. Let's talk about the Nicaraguan Rum; it's top-shelf.

Cerro Negro Volcano is all about the surf. You can be adventurous and go down the volcano standing or sitting.

Have you ever seen an ACTIVE volcano🌋 up close? Masaya Volcano is one of the most accessible in the world; you can access it by bicycle, car, or walk to its crater. We drove and then walked right up the edge and was able to see live lava it was amazing.
