YOUR STORY SHALL BE DIFFERENT

GENESIS 39:1-4 (GNB)

Now the Ishmaelites had taken Joseph to Egypt and sold him to Potiphar…. The LORD was with Joseph and made him successful. He lived in the house of his Egyptian master, who saw that the LORD was with Joseph and had made him successful in everything he did. Potiphar was pleased with him and made him his servant; so he put him in charge of his house and everything he owned.

Just as Joseph’s physical location and status could not stop or limit his spiritual reality and allocations, nothing will be able to stop or limit you either. Do you know that there were many Egyptians in Egypt who were not as prosperous as Joseph? What made the difference in Joseph’s life? The Lord was with Him and the Lord made him successful in everything he did. This shall be your testimony. The same Lord who did this for Joseph will always do the same for you wherever you find yourself. He will make you prosper and find favour in the sight of people you never even expected to find favour with.

Ordinarily, by the mere fact that he was sold as a slave into a strange land, there are some fears anybody could have about Joseph’s life and there are certain good things that no one may have expected him to experience. But Joseph’s story was different. Your story will also be different. When men are cast down, you shall say there is a lifting up, (Job 22:29). The Bible says, “And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison, (Gen. 39:20-21). Beloved, take your eyes off what you are going through and fix your eyes on the Lord who is with you.
