PROFIT AND EXPENSES FOR A PIG

*Buy a piglet - 45,000
*All things being equal and proper vaccinations ( about 7,000)
*This piglet will eat a bag of starter feed @ 22,000 which will take the pig till it out grow starter feed.
*The Piglet should have grown to 3month. At this point, the Pig can start eating wheat offal with PKC (Palm Kernel Cake)
(Mix it moderately to avoid wastage).
Wheat offal - 13,500
PKC - 8,000
* PKC can take up to 3 month to finish
*wheat offal can take about 1½ month to finish
*The pig should be about 5-6months, it is due for mating if it's a female pig. But do this context, it's just for profit(profit ratio).
*For the next 6-7 months, the Pig must have eaten about 4 bags of wheat offal and 2 PKC ( 54,000 + 16,000 = 70,000).
*Here bath a big pig that will cost about 550,000.

Summary
From the above;
Pig- 165,500
Pen cleaning (12month @ 6,000) - 72,000

Total expenditure - 237,500

Therefore, pig sold - expenditure
550,000 - 237,500 = 312,500.

CONCLUSION:
312,500 is the profit generated. The above deduction maybe different depending on the price of feed, but on the whole the profit will be above 200,000.
The above expenditure doesn't include construction and purchase of land which are fixed assets.
