😭😭IS THERE NO WAY OUT OF THIS?
The Drama Ministry has always been one of the most powerful, inspiring, and hope-awakening tools in the Church. It is meant to stir hearts, bring clarity to the Word, and awaken souls to the reality of Christ.
But today… something feels different.
The world is evolving, yes, things are changing, people are upgrading. But I ask: Where exactly are we upgrading to, as the Body of Christ?
Are we evolving toward Christ, or simply adapting to the world?
Please hear me: This is not an attack. I’m not against the Drama Ministry, nor the passionate individuals who serve in it.
I honor the hearts behind the stage. But I believe God is calling us to pause and examine what we are really offering Him.
The Drama Ministry is meant to display the sovereignty of Christ, to reflect His holiness, His mercy, His love, and His power.
But now, we see more of performance than presence... more entertainment than encounter.
Do we really need to copy every movie trend, every scene, every emotion from secular culture, just to get applause in church?
Yes, acting is a gift. But the anointing is not in the talent, it’s in the obedience.
Philippians 2:5 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”
What kind of mind are we acting from today? Is it Christ’s mind, or culture’s influence?
Let’s be honest, some of the spirits we unknowingly project in church dramas are not of God. And ignorance is not innocence.
We’ve begun to normalize horror makeup, demonic symbols, blood, screaming, intimidation, darkness, all on the altar.
But the question is: Does it glorify Christ or simply stimulate emotion?
Let me ask you:
After the drama ends, what truly remains in the hearts of the audience?
Do people feel convicted, or just entertained?
Is Christ revealed, or just a well-acted scene remembered?
Yes, Scripture says: “If God be for us, who can be against us?”
But before asking who is against us, we must ask: Are we still truly for God?
So, is there a way out? YES.
There is always a way back to truth. There is always a path to revival.
Let us return to the Holy Spirit’s leading. Not every good idea is a God idea.
Let us cleanse the altar of confusion. Not everything dramatic is anointed.
Let us strip off roles that glorify darkness in the name of creativity.
There is power in drama. But that power must always point to the Cross, not the crowd.
Let the stage be a place where conviction is born, where truth is unveiled, where Christ is lifted.
Let us ask again, with sincerity:
Lord, are You pleased with what we’re doing?
And may our hearts be ready to listen when He answers.
