Seek First the Kingdom

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

Many times, we chase after money, opportunities, relationships, and even peace of mind only to realize that the more we chase, the more empty we feel.

But Jesus gave us a powerful secret: when we put God first, everything else falls into place.

Put Him first in your decisions.
Put Him first in your daily time.
Put Him first in your goals and dreams.

The Bible says in Proverbs 3:6, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.”

It doesn’t mean life will suddenly be without challenges, but it does mean God takes responsibility for your journey. He makes a way where there seems to be none (Isaiah 43:19).

Imagine living life not stressed about tomorrow, because you know the King of kings is already handling it. That’s what happens when you seek first the Kingdom.

Today, let’s make a fresh decision: God first, everything else second. The rest will follow in His perfect timing.

A New Thing

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19

Sometimes we get so stuck in yesterday that we can’t see what God is doing today. We replay old hurts, old mistakes, old disappointments, and even old victories. But God is not the God of the past, He is the God of now and the God of what’s ahead.

The truth is: yesterday cannot be changed. But tomorrow is in God’s hands, and today is a seed for that tomorrow.

Maybe you’ve cried over missed opportunities
Maybe you’ve been holding onto what you lost
Maybe you’ve been waiting so long you almost gave up

But hear this: God is already preparing a new thing for you.

When Israel was trapped in the wilderness, He made a way. When the ground was dry, He brought streams. That same God is still at work. He’s not intimidated by your situation, your mistakes, or your delays.

Don’t let yesterday’s pain blind you to today’s promise. Don’t let fear of tomorrow rob you of faith today. God is saying: “I am doing a new thing.” Not “I might.” Not “I will think about it.” But I AM.

So lift your eyes. Open your heart. Trust His timing. The new thing may not look like the old, but it will be better because it’s from God.

Today, declare this with me: “Lord, I release the past and embrace the new thing You are doing in my life.”

Obedience is better than sacrifice, but it takes sacrifice to be obedient.
