Bringing healing to ur heart
01/02/2026
The elevator stopped between floors.
The lights flickered once… twice… then went out.
Tunde’s phone buzzed in the darkness.
1% battery. No signal.
He laughed nervously. Perfect timing.
Just an hour earlier, he had told himself, This is it. I’m done.
Too many failures. Too many closed doors. Too many people saying, “You can’t.”
Then the elevator je**ed.
A metallic screech echoed through the shaft. His heart slammed against his ribs. Sweat ran down his neck. Panic whispered, You won’t make it out.
A final message appeared on his screen—from an unsaved number:
“Don’t stop now.”
The elevator dropped slightly, then caught itself.
Tunde clenched his fists. Fear screamed at him to sit down, to wait, to give up. But something louder rose inside him—anger, hope, stubborn faith.
He pressed the emergency button. Nothing.
Pressed again. Still nothing.
So he shouted.
His voice cracked. His throat burned. But he kept shouting.
Minutes felt like hours.
Then—voices. Footsteps. Light.
The doors forced open.
As he stepped out, shaking but alive, his phone died completely.
Later that night, Tunde realized something chilling and powerful:
The elevator wasn’t the real test.
The moment before he quit was.
You are stronger than the obstacle in front of you.
Keep pushing forward.
The breakthrough is closer than you think
Welcome to February

DEVOTIONAL: In the Midst of My Sadness, God Came Through
Scripture Focus:
> “Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
There are moments in life when sadness doesn’t announce itself—it simply settles in.
For the divorced woman raising children alone, sadness often wears many faces: unpaid school fees, unanswered questions, silent nights, and the fear of not being enough.
She prayed.
She worked.
She hoped.
Yet the bills still came.
One particular day, the weight became too heavy. School fees were due, and there was no clear way forward. The children asked innocent questions, unaware of the storm in their mother’s heart. That night, she went before God—not with polished words, but with tears.
She had no plan left—only faith.
And in the midst of her sadness, God came through.
Not instantly.
Not loudly.
But faithfully.
Help arose from unexpected places. Hearts were moved without explanation. Provision came without prior notice. What seemed impossible in the morning became a testimony by evening.
This devotional reminds us of a powerful truth: God is not absent in our broken seasons. Divorce does not disqualify us from divine help. Lack does not silence heaven. Tears do not push God away—they draw Him closer.
When we feel unseen, God is watching.
When we feel unheard, God is listening.
When we feel alone, God is working.
Today, let this be your encouragement:
If you are standing in the middle of sadness, don’t give up. Hold on. Pray again. Trust again. God’s timing may not match yours, but His faithfulness never fails.
Reflection Question:
What burden are you carrying today that you need to place fully in God’s hands?
Prayer:
Lord, I bring my sadness, my fears, and my unanswered questions before You. I trust You to make a way where I see none. Strengthen my faith and remind me that You are always near. Amen
