Whether in politics, or in ministry, or in business, when there is no energy of synergy, nothing strong happens.

One of the weaknesses of humanity is selfishness. This is why unity is not normal, what is normal in human world is unintended disunity because of self-help individualistic drive.

Everyone believes he is the man or the one everyone is waiting for.

Evil thrives when there is a unity behind it.

But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: β€œEvery kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
(Matthew 12:25-26)

Even the kingdom of darkness thrive on energy of synergy. Demons need unity to create disunity.

All it takes to destroy the tower of Babel is introducing individual languages.

Now, the point is,

I know your mum told you that you are meant to be the president. Your wife told you that you are meant to be a G.O. Your friends said you are meant to be the founder of a company. But, you may be a functional microphone in a sound system, a good plug in a functional car engine. Being a part of a system, not being the system.

Many would have succeeded in politics if only they partnered with someone or an existing community. Many would have been effective in ministry, if only they wholeheartedly join in building with someone and a community. Many would have been top players in unicorn businesses, if only they help build with someone or with others who are as good as them. Putting aside individualism for corporate vision.

I have seen people tear down businesses meant to rise because of lack of energy of synergy. I have seen ministries try to achieve in decades what could have been achieved in a year if only they agreed together. I have seen a group of people lose power because of disunity - everyone believes he is the one.

Interestingly, when they help one person lead and help him or her breakthrough, everyone would have been in the space at the top, because, no one get to greatness alone.

This is why many disjointed people have become fans, chasing thriving communities, instead of being players because they fail to believe in someone and build a community. They now run after those who did what they could not do.

To get to Cannaan as a people, there has to be a Moses or Joshua.

(... but let me add a different writeup I did, but connected - if you can still read)

Don't be a stranger through this life.

One of the greatest forces of life is the force of community.

You have to be a part of and known by either Egyptians or Canaanites or Israelites. You cannot disassociate yourself from Egyptians because they are of the world and Canaanites because they are mighty and at the same time not committed to Israelites for some personal reasons like offense with brethren.

You have to be part of a community. Don't be hanging around. Your unique part functions within a whole or system. The microphone is important but it's importance is expressed within the sound system. The plug is important but within the engine system.

This is why several gifted people are not functional. They are alone. Or part of a wrong community. Like a microphone plugged to a mechanical or engine system, instead of the sound system. Although important, but not relevant.

Find your community. And stay there. Build it. Solve your issues with the community. Time is going. Express your functionality within systems. Be humble and return to Israelites, even if you have tasted of the fruits of Canaan. Return to your people. Even Canaanites take you seriously if you come in within your Israelites. To "leave them behind" is not progress, but it's like microphone plugged to a car engine from one place to another.

To conclude the former writeup.

The most important thing is we all win, not about who is the captain of the team.

The most important thing is, we all get to the promised land. Someone has to lead, even if it is a choir. Being the Leader or the flagbearer mostly is more of Job descriptions, not necessarily about hierarchy.
This is supposed to be simple...

I hope you got to this point?
I hope it's clear?

Sometimes, paradoxically, a man of great eloquence could have more points than a man of great wisdom. In a debate, an orator could make a wise man apologize for wise sayings.

An orator could oratorically push his point why water is not necessary for living against the wise man views of the value of water. But, the difference between eloquence and wisdom is consequences, with time.

An orator could prove with speech that hell does not exist. An orator could make even a lie make sense. I only pity the simple whose mind cannot withstand the belief of the orator.

Sometimes, even the orator does not believe what he defends. He pushes for an opinion just to defend his ego. Only the grass suffer when the elephant test-run its strength.

Just like in the days in school when we debate in inter-house competition. You would try to prove a point even you don't believe in it, just to win.

Younger people have twisted the hands of the older people to even apologize for even warning younger people. This happens when younger people bully older people.

See, the temptation to speak is high if your strength is in speaking - verbally or in writing. Your mind is wired to always make your point win. The destructive part is when even you talk down the counsel of those ahead of you with your almost ever domineering points.

To have a strong tongue for speech but subject it to your ears is power. When you learn to listen even when you are good with words. It is power - a virtue.

Listen, even if your mind creates other options or opinions, self-control is power. Be humble and listen, even if you have a stronger point.

Many have spoken themselves into their early graves still trying to make sense in their coffins.

Men of much speeches ask questions with a thousand answers given by them.

An orator, most times, doesn't know when to stop. He enjoys the sound of his voice like that of a nightingale. He may need a wise man to say to him, "enough" - if he could take a breathe, slip his saliva just to listened.

He can even make himself believe in his own opinion. When it evolves to self-deception. When he become wise in his own eyes.

Apollos was eloquent in speech but still wrong. Until he submitted to Aquila and Priscilla. I have seen people boldly wrong. I have also made mistakes boldly till corrected.

A wise man was asked by someone, "what is your greatest wisdom", the man said, "I don't argue with a fool". The man responded, "I don't believe it", and the wise man replied, "it is true". End of discussion. He doesn't debate with a fool.

A true man of wisdom does not debate.

Many wise men, full of experiences, have been silenced from public spaces, like social media, by the mobbing orators with their doctrinal, philosophical and political views. Unfortunately, real decisions are made for them in secret, leaving them arguing in the public.

A generation needs to learn to listen fast.

Bridle your tongue, even if you have what to say. Put your body under subjection - self control is the greatest form of control.
Listen. Learn.
Listen.

Consequences do not consult your points of view.
Listen!
