What makes Concrete fail.??

Why Do Concrete fail..?

There are a lot of contributing factors that makes a concrete floor to fail.

They are but not limited to.

Improper mix ratio: when the mix ratio of the concrete component are not in it appropriate ratio this contribute greatly to concrete failures. There is always a certain ratio for concrete mix we regards to the objective use.

Long Mix or Down time: when concrete is mixed and kept for long before it's use in it's form-work to allow for proper curing, mixed concrete after a while loose strength during this period. To avoid this, a mixed concrete should be used immediately and allow to cure in it's intended form-work

Poor Mixing: Concrete can be in there perfect mix ratio, but a poor mixing will contribute greatly to it's failure in no time.
A good mix should beat least 3 mix turns will all aggregate together.

Too many water/ less water: water should be in it's perform quantity NOT TOO MUCH TO TOO LITTLE to allows a mole time for setting drying and curing.

Uncompacted Floor/Grouds: a lot of ground to be worked on are not compacted enough to be worked on. For floors to be strong enough and it particles together enough to carry a concrete cast that will last long, the ground needs to be compacted with at least 1ton of compacting matching over 4times, properly wetered. With these we are sure of a good floor.

What Is a perfect sloping
A perfect sloping is a sloop the maintains its gradient from the beginning of floor to the end(termination or drainage)

In other words, when a slop is gentle it should be gentle all through
When it is sharp it is shout all through.

With this water maintain it's course and the won't be pocket if water gathering in and around the floor.

In other to make this happen a proper landscaping must take place FIRST
