subhanallah

A teacher from rural Kenya has captured the world’s attention for all the right reasons. Peter Tabichi, a science teacher who gives most of his salary to support students facing real hardship, has been named the world’s best teacher and awarded a $1 million prize.

Working in a school with limited resources and many learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, he has still managed to inspire remarkable achievements in science and education. His dedication proves how powerful genuine compassion and commitment can be.

Stories like his remind us that real change often begins with one person who chooses to lift others up. What an incredible example for teachers and students everywhere.

Alhamdulillah Robbil 'Aalameen!
We're gradually and peacefully drifting towards the end of the Term. As we do, I pray that the national security improves so that everyone especially those in the village can resume back to school in peace.

Every Great Leader Started with a Dream

Every great leader you admire today once sat as a child with a dream in their heart. Nelson Mandela once dreamed of a free South Africa. Malala Yousafzai dreamed of education for every girl. Even local leaders in our communities once imagined a better tomorrow before they worked to create it.

Dreams are the seeds of leadership. They give children a sense of direction and a reason to grow. Without dreams, life feels ordinary and children simply drift along. With dreams, they wake up with purpose, motivation, and a vision of what they can achieve.

As parents, our role is to nurture these dreams rather than shrink them. When your child says, “I want to be a president,” “I want to be a doctor,” or even “I want to build rockets,” your response matters. Do not dismiss it as childish talk. Instead, lean in and say, “That’s wonderful! Tell me more.” That single encouragement could ignite a lifetime of determination.

Encouraging dreams doesn’t mean pushing children into unrealistic paths, but rather helping them see possibilities. Ask them questions like: “What excites you the most?” or “What kind of problems would you like to solve?” Then guide them gently towards skills and habits that match those dreams — reading, discipline, curiosity, and resilience.

Remember, no dream is too big at this stage. A child who dares to dream about flying to space may grow up to design safer airplanes or lead a global organization. What matters is that the dream fuels their growth.

Let’s give our children the permission to dream boldly. The leaders of tomorrow are sitting in our homes today — waiting for us to say, “Yes, you can.”
