YES... Structure requires money but unfortunately because it's not spent on what people can see outside, owners feel the expenses may not be worth it..
Dear restauranteur, beautifying your restaurant can't be more important to you than structuring the whole business process itself. No ma.
You are wrong to think that way.
Restaurants rarely fail because they are not beautiful. They fail because they are not well organized and professionally managed.
Structure cost at various levels range from low to high...
Something as simple as buying measurement scales of 100kg, 40kg, and 10kg can be low structure cost for managing your inventory and production process, why will you refuse to buy 3 different scales for your business because you feel they are all performing the same function?
As a matter of fact if your business is fast paced, you should have scales at different places where they are needed so staff don't cut corners..
A good software to manage your sales and stocks can be high structure cost, but it is very necessary so that your business activities in transactions can be clear to you in real time...
I am sure you would not want to start a business and begin to experience losses from day one..
You must spend money to put proscess in place and continue spending to maintain them... Plan it in now...

The practice of EYEBALLING is not a proper management strategy for your business.
EYEBALLING will hurt both your margins and product quality. You may be able to get away with it but your staff most assuredly may not be able to.

Too many issues around customer service, experience and standard in recent times..
If your business falls under the category of hospitality business... You need to take customer service very seriously. Customers who feel dissatisfied about your services are not telling you. They are telling other people and the news is spreading..
Imagine that it was a good experience they were spreading π
You business will certainly be better for it... π―
Prioritize your customer service process... The flow of service from when a customer steps in or checks in to when they eventually leave your premises, facility or chat room ( service closure)

The sad reality is that any business without the owner's close involvement these days may end in business loss π
..
Some businesses may be able to survive the first year, but a restaurant business may not survive 6 months.
WHY?????
Because restaurant businesses, depending on the size and volume of customers. ----
1. Need a good number of people to run it...
2. Keep a wide range on inventory ...
3. Spend heavily on inventory ...
A good number of people are required to work in a busy restaurant, and everyone within the system, regardless of their department or positions, can have a way of manipulating the process to steal, if more people steal, the business may suffocate sooner than expected ..
