The 5th Edition of the annual GCU Relays is ending on Burn Fire Vibes as all Athletes are really enjoying themselves with good music snacks going round...

Schools that arrived on Friday 17th of November 2023 ahead of the 5th edition of the GCU Relays are:

1. Novena School
2. Oruese Int'l School
3. St Loise School
4. Govt College Ughelli
5. Emede Grammar School
6. Abraka Grammar School

Other School are expected between 6:30am to 8am on Saturday 18th November 2023.

Rekindly his early begining...

The Chairman of GCU Relays Committee, Mr Ejiro Omonode, this morning presented spikes, running shoes, track suits and other sporting items donated by Sir Joseph Arumemi-Ikhide for the use of GCU students.

In all, 10 pairs of running shoes(spikes, Track suits, Vests, shorts & socks were presented at a ceremony in the school.

Omonode advised the school authority to monitor the use of the items adding that it should be a motivation for the students to do better.

Receiving the items on behalf of the school, Mrs Cynthia Okporoma, Head of Sports, said: “We are grateful for the items, it is what we have always yearned for.”
