Richard Wurmbrand
“In the darkness, he preached sermons to the walls.”
In 1948, when communists took control of Romania, Richard Wurmbrand refused to pledge loyalty to the regime, declaring that Christ alone is Lord. He was arrested and spent 14 years in prison, including years in solitary confinement underground.
He was beaten, starved, and pressured to abandon his faith. With no Bible and no congregation, he recited Scripture from memory, whispered hymns, and preached aloud to empty walls just to keep his faith alive.
After being ransomed to the West in 1964, he testified publicly about persecution and wrote Tortured for Christ. He later founded Voice of the Martyrs to support persecuted Christians worldwide.
Historians confirm Romania’s communist prisons were brutal. What made him remarkable was not just survival — but his message:
He said prison taught him to love even his torturers, believing Christ died for them too.
They buried him underground.
But they could not bury the Gospel within him.

📢 Some will be the kingdom advancement ministers, the financial pillars of the voice of salvation in the field!
Where are you standing, where do you fit in, who are you in the kingdom of God, what's your purpose of being a child of God, what's is the purpose God has given you, find it, join now, align yourself now, fit in and begin the work of your Father who is in Heaven!
I am in the mission field, and also in the sector of building up men and women, youths and children, to take over the world, and of you want to be useful, support the ministry of God, I don't run ministry, I will never own a ministry, I only walk with God and obey Him, this is not a ministry, this is the reign of the King (God) thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!
