Mrs. Yinka Adekunle travelled to Lokoja on official duties. She was expected to spend 5 days but as fate would have it, the programme only took 3 days. Since she could not reach her husband because of phone issues, she decided to return home unannounced.

On getting home, her children told her that their father had a female visitor the moment she left and that the lady has been with them since then. She was already infuriated. Learning the lady was in the visitor's room, she peepped: lo and behold, the lady was there; even putting on her wrapper.

She quietly went to the kitchen and boiled water in her very big kettle. As the water was boiling, her husband drove in and went straight to the visitor's room calling out: 'my love, I'm home.' Unknown to him, his wife was already home.

Mrs Adekunle was even more angered when she heard that and said to herself 'today, God must receive 2 visitors.' She took the hot water and, and ... Wizkid has finally decided to speak to us about what actually transpired between him and Davido.

When Davido returned to Nigeria, he was inspired by the likes of Wizkid to join Afrobeats. He came back with a lot of money, and everyone wanted to be his friend.

On the other hand, Wizkid and other young artists were very talented and knew how to produce music but didn’t have the money.

Using his father's wealth, Davido was able to influence and convince other young people to teach him about Afrobeats and music production. Davido recently revealed that Wizkid and Don Jazzy were teaching him music production when he first returned to the country. But along the way, things began to change.

Davido was able to use his money to market his music extensively, and soon he was overshadowing Wizkid. That’s when Wizkid suddenly stopped talking to him and teaching him the things he knew about music production [Davido himself said this in an interview].

The difference here is that Davido comes from a wealthy family and understands how to make money, while Wizkid, who came from a poor background, sees money as a luxury.

Davido grew up surrounded by wealth; his godfather was Aliko Dangote. Money doesn’t impress him anymore. His approach has always been, "We rise by lifting others," which means there are many things Davido does without thinking about the money. For example, he doesn’t charge African artists for features, which has earned him a lot of love across the continent.

On the other hand, Wizkid comes from a very p00r family. His main objective was to make money and increase his value and that of every African kid from a struggling background.

This is why Wizkid isn't happy when international brands refuse to pay him $10 million, and Davido comes in later and does it for less out of love, because he isn't as focused on money.
