The funeral rites of His Majesty King (Dr.) Dandeson Douglas Mac‑Pepple Jaja V will commence today, Saturday 7th March and run through 11th April 2026.

The kingdom prepares to honour the life, reign, and legacy of our revered monarch.

Activities for the funeral rites will be unveiled in the coming days.

This is to officially inform all members and chapters of the National Union of Opobo Students (NUOS) about the forthcoming Easter Convention.

The Convention, themed “GBOLOMA NA BELEMA,” is being organized as part of activities to foster unity, cultural identity, and collective engagement among Opobo students across all institutions and chapters. The event promises to be a significant gathering where members will reconnect, celebrate our heritage, and strengthen the bond that unites us as Opobo students.

All Chapter Presidents are hereby directed to disseminate this information to their respective members and begin adequate mobilization in preparation for the event. Members are strongly encouraged to anticipate the convention and make themselves available to participate actively.

Further details regarding the date, venue, and schedule of activities will be communicated in due course through official NUOS communication channels.

Your cooperation, commitment, and active participation will greatly contribute to the success of this convention.
