⚽🦁 Match Week 2 has officially confirmed one thing: this EPL season is going to be CRAZY! 🔥⚽

My EPL Weekend Recap – Match Week 2!

If Match Week 1 gave us a taste of what was coming, Match Week 2 served the full dish! 😮‍💨🔥

Goals, comebacks, shocks and plenty of talking points.

🔵 Manchester City made a statement — a ruthless 4-1 win away at Crystal Palace. Haaland and Cherki both grabbed braces as City showed serious attacking firepower.

🔴 Arsenal ground out another win! A 1-0 victory over Aston Villa, sealed by Bukayo Saka, means the champions have started with two wins from two. Not their most spectacular performance, but champions know how to win ugly. 💪🏾

🔵 Chelsea survived a thriller! They beat Brighton 4-3 in a crazy seven-goal encounter. Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea are now perfect after two matches. 🔥

😱 Manchester United bounced back BIG! Bruno Fernandes scored a hat-trick as United demolished Ipswich 5-2 after falling behind early.

⚫ Newcastle stunned Spurs 2-0, while Hull City continued their impressive return to the Premier League with another victory.

😮 Liverpool were held 2-2 by Nottingham Forest at Anfield — another frustrating draw for the Reds.

And Sunderland beat Fulham 1-0, while Leeds and Brentford shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

My verdict:
Two weeks in and we already have Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Hull City sitting on six points.

The title race is still very young, but the early signs are already fascinating! 🍿🔥

Which team impressed you most in Match Week 2?

And who disappointed you? 👇🏾

🔥⚽ No fireworks, no drama — just a ruthless Arsenal win when it mattered most!

Saka strikes, Arsenal grind it out and Arteta gets the perfect 250th game! 🔴⚪

Aston Villa 0-1 Arsenal

⚽ 59' — Arsenal 1-0:
Bukayo Saka finishes a low cross from Riccardo Calafiori after a neat Arsenal move. Game-changing moment!

💥 My Full Match Reaction:

Arsenal were not at their sparkling best, but this was a proper title-contender performance.

They controlled possession, defended brilliantly and restricted Villa to virtually nothing, with the hosts failing to register a shot on target.

Saka delivered when it mattered, while the defence stood firm through nine minutes of stoppage time.

And what a way for Mikel Arteta to mark his 250th Premier League game in charge of Arsenal!

He becomes only the 10th manager to reach 250 league matches at one club, celebrating the milestone with his 151st Premier League victory.

Two games. Two wins. Six points. Arsenal mean business! 🔥

From what we've seen so far, do you think Arsenal has what it takes to defend their title?

Was it an easy victory?

💥⚽ The Battle For Manchester: The League is getting intense! 🔥🔴🔵

It's not just a game. It's pride. It's bragging rights. It's war!

Old Trafford will be SHAKING on Sunday 13th September as Man United host their noisy neighbours Man City!

Haaland vs Bruno
Theatre of Dreams vs The Treble Winners
Who will it be?

United need to prove they still OWN this city.

City need to prove the blue side is taking over FOR GOOD.

Last season ended

Manchester City 3-0 Manchester United
and
Manchester United 2-0 Manchester City....

But form goes out the window on Derby Day!

📅 Sunday, 13th Sept | 🕓 16:30 BST | 🏟️ Old Trafford

Now 2 questions for the real football fans:

Who are you supporting?

Which team will score first?

🔥🔴 They finally found their firepower in this 7-goal thriller - And Bruno Fernandes was the man! 😱 💥💥💥💥💥

FULL TIME:
Manchester United 5-2 Ipswich

What a sweet comeback!

Manchester United bounced back in style at Old Trafford, coming from behind to destroy Ipswich.

⚽ Goal recap -

29' — 0-1:
Leif Davis gives Ipswich the lead with a brilliant volley.

40' — 1-1:
Bruno Fernandes calmly finishes to bring United level before half-time.

56' — 2-1:
Jacob Greaves turns the ball into his own net as United complete the comeback.

61' — 3-1:

68' — 4-1:
Fernandes completes his hat-trick! 🎩🔥

82' — 5-1:
Bryan Mbeumo adds another for United.

90+1' — 5-2:
Chuba Akpom grabs a late consolation for Ipswich.

🔥 My Full Match Reaction -
What a response from Manchester United!

They looked vulnerable after going behind, but Bruno Fernandes completely took over the game.

A hat-trick from the captain, three points and five goals at Old Trafford.

United deserve huge credit for the way they turned the game around, although conceding twice at home shows there is still work to be done defensively.

For Ipswich, they competed well in the first half but simply couldn't handle United's second-half pressure.

After losing to Hull last weekend, this was exactly the response Michael Carrick needed.

Old Trafford is smiling again! 🔴

What did you make of Bruno Fernandes' performance?

Is he still Manchester United's most important player? 👇

Let's talk below

⚽🔥 And Brighton somehow turned Stamford Bridge into a horror movie! 😳💥

Chelsea may have won the game, but Brighton exposed a serious problem! 👀

MY FULL MATCH REACTION!
WHAT A GAME! 😳🔥 Chelsea have beaten Brighton 4-3 at Stamford Bridge, but this was far from a comfortable victory.

Chelsea looked absolutely electric going forward, racing into a 3-0 lead through Roméo Lavia, Pedro Neto and João Pedro. But instead of killing the game off, they allowed Brighton back into it.

Cole Palmer's goal proved crucial, restoring Chelsea's two-goal cushion before Brighton grabbed another late on to make the final minutes nervy.

The big positive for Xabi Alonso is obvious: Chelsea are creating chances, scoring goals and showing serious attacking quality.

Two league games, two wins and seven goals scored is a very encouraging start.

But defensively?

Alonso has plenty of work to do. Chelsea have already conceded five goals in their opening two league matches, and today's collapse from 3-0 to 4-3 will definitely concern the manager.

And then there's Moisés Caicedo, who came on but was forced off after only a short spell. Alonso said the midfielder felt something and will be assessed.

That's one to watch closely.

⚽ FULL-TIME: CHELSEA 4-3 BRIGHTON

My verdict:
Chelsea's attack looks scary, but their defence still looks vulnerable.

If Alonso can find the balance between entertainment and control, this Chelsea side could become a serious problem for the rest of the Premier League.

Chelsea are winning games but now they need to learn how to control them. 👀🔵

Or what do you think?

💥😢 The game of Football in Nigeria has to change. We cannot continue this way.

⚽🔥 100 Things Football Taught Me About God! (21/100)

I learnt that not every pass reaches its destination.

Sometimes I made a beautiful pass, only for my teammate to lose the ball.

I don't lose my cool. I just keep playing.

It taught me something about life:

I can do my part faithfully without controlling the outcome.

📖 “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

God wants me to be faithful with what He puts in my hands—not obsessed with controlling everything that happens afterward.
