You can’t be a "Baddie" on a budget if your wig is screaming for help.

We see the lace looking like a map of Nigeria because of glue buildup. We even see the braided wigs looking thirsty and dusty! 🤣🤣🤣

I Don Install Wig, So I No Need Care My Hair😩😩😩

That mindset has cost many people their edges.🤭🤭
Wigs help, yes.
But your natural hair is still there, still alive, still needs care💯.
What to do:✨
Moisturize hair under wigs
Don’t leave hair dry for weeks
Remove wig occasionally and let scalp breathe😉
Wigs are helpers, not replacements.🫣

Night Time Is When Many People Lose Their Hair😩😩 (Quietly)

You can take care of your hair all day, then destroy it at night.
Cotton pillowcases absorb moisture.
They also create friction.
So you wake up with:
Dry hair
Broken edges
Tangled ends
Simple fix:🪄
Satin or silk bonnet
Or satin pillowcase if bonnet doesn’t stay
Small habit.
Big long-term difference.

How Often Should I Wash My Hair?😩😩
Let’s Be Real
Some people are afraid of washing their hair.🫣
But dirt blocks hair follicles.💯
Blocked follicles don’t grow well.💔
For most Nigerians:
Washing every 1–2 weeks works fine
More often if you sweat a lot or use many products
Clean hair is not the enemy.🤭
Neglect is.💯

Your Scalp Is Tired 😩 😩 😩
That’s Why Your Hair Is Complaining 🤭🤭🤭
We focus so much on hair strands that we forget where hair comes from.🫣
Your scalp.
Product build-up.
Sweat.
Dirt.😫
Scratching with nails.
All these stress the scalp.🆘
A stressed scalp produces weak hair.💯
What helps:
Wash your hair regularly🪄
Massage gently🤤
Stop scratching like mosquito bit you🫣🤭🤣
Healthy scalp, better growth.

Why should I Oil My Hair??😫😫😩
Let’s be honest.
Most of us grew up believing oil is the solution to everything.
Hair dry? Oil.🫣
Hair not growing? Oil.🤭
Hair breaking? More oil.😃
Here’s the truth nobody explained properly:
Oil does NOT moisturize hair.😩
Water moisturizes hair.💯
Oil only helps to lock it in.🫣
So when you apply oil to dry hair, what you’re doing is sealing dryness inside.😂
What actually works:
Spray water or apply a water-based cream
THEN apply oil to seal🪄
Not too much
hair is not frying pan🫣🤭😂
Small change. Big difference.

Why Is My Hair Always Shrinking Like This? 😫😩😩
Let’s talk about shrinkage
the thing that makes you stretch your hair today and wake up tomorrow looking like you cut it.🤭
Shrinkage is annoying, yes.
But it’s not an enemy.
Shrinkage happens because Nigerian hair has tight curls that spring back.
That spring-back is actually a sign of healthy hair.
Dead hair doesn’t shrink.💯
Damaged hair doesn’t bounce.
What to do instead of fighting it:
Keep hair moisturized
Stretch gently with twists or braids
Stop forcing hair with heat every time
Shrinkage is your hair saying, “I’m alive.”😉

My Hair Is Not Growing — Let’s Talk About Detangling & Combing
“My hair is not growing.”
“My hair is always breaking.”
“My hair is short and stubborn.”
If you’re Nigerian, you’ve probably said at least one of these before.
Let me tell you something many people don’t like to hear:
sometimes, it’s not that your hair isn’t growing... it’s how you’re handling it.
Our hair is naturally coily, curly, and bendy. That’s not a problem. That’s its strength.
But that same structure also means it needs patience.
One major place where damage happens is detangling.
If you’re combing your hair from the roots straight down, especially when it’s dry, you’re basically fighting it. Hair will fight back by breaking.
How to detangle Nigerian hair properly:
Always detangle when the hair is slightly damp or moisturized
Start from the ends, not the roots
Work in sections
your hair is not one piece
Be gentle; rushing costs length
Combs matter too:
Wide-tooth combs are your friend
Wooden combs reduce snagging
Fingers are underrated
they feel knots before tools do
Fine-tooth combs are not evil, but they are not for detangling thick natural hair.
Our hair is not “difficult.”
It’s just asking to be respected.
Treat your crown gently, and it will respond over time.
