IT IS FAITH TO ASK FOR HELP WITH PURE HEART WHEN YOU NEED IT(1Jn3.16-18)--For a man of God or believer to think and say you are not in faith or your faith is not strong when you ask for help is gross ignorance that has kept many in bo***ge and depression.A FRIEND IS BORN BECAUSE OF ADVERSITY the book of Proverbs saysPrv17.17)-Jesus asked for a boat to preach and He was the strongest man of faith that ever lived,he was bold to ask Zacheus to come down quickly that He would be sleeping in his house that night (Lk19). Jesus asked for a donkey to ride into Jerusalem,Elijah when hungry asked for food from a broke widow and God rewarded the widow greatly in 1kg17.Elisha the prophet under the Spirit inspiration asked the prophet's widow to borrow many empty vessels for her miracle.Jesus told His commissioned apostles that IN EVERY CITY AND VILLAGE they must ask for help to launch their ministry in accomodations and feeding (matt10.1-14,40-42,Lk10.1-7,22.35).Where did we get the idea that it is lack of faith to ask for help when you are in need and you are not a selfish man yourself as long as you are faithful and have a bonafide need.Another thing is that many believers have not fully developed their faith so they may need help from time to timeas they grow because faith growth is not an overnight thing AND IT IS TOUGH TO GROW STRONG FAITH(Act14.22).What God does not like is to take advantage of the generous ones by living selfishly and parasitically as a vampire on the generous ones(Eph4.28,2thes3.10,).God wants us to all work with strong work ethics to be a testimony to others and to have lack of nothing (1the4.11-12,Act20. 35).God will lead the sensitive ones to close up on the lazy believers who are vampires feeding on other Christians because God hates laziness (2the3.10).We are called to be diligent with our work,business and jobs(prov22.29) and be generous to the poor and needy even if your earnings is little for this is what God MULTIPLIES back to you to CONTINUALLY ENRICH YOU IN ALL THINGS AS LONG AS YOU ARE FAITHFUL IN YOUR LABORS(2cor8.1-5,2cor9.6,10-11,deut15.10).At times the faithful and humble believer does not know the one that God prepared to help you until you ask as it happened to Elijah and the widow of zarephath (1kg17.9-15).Having said all these the needy believer must do all things AS LED BY THE SPIRIT AND NEVER IN THE FLESH(Rom8.14,16,13.14).You do this because you are a man or woman of prayers(jn5.19,30). We must not live as beggers on others but be generous and Spirit-fiiled and generous so we can also find help when we also need it(Prov11.24-25,28.8,27)

Success in this life isn’t necessarily about how popular, influential or educated someone is. Success is about living a life of excellence in obedience to God’s Word. When we step out to do what God has called us to do, Scripture says that His favor surrounds us like a shield. When we have His favor, we have everything. We have an advantage for success! God’s favor opens the right doors. His favor will bring good breaks. The favor of God will cause you to accomplish what you could not accomplish on your own. It gives you an edge.

Now, if you’re going to see the gracious hand of God at work in your life, you can’t go through the day feeling intimidated, thinking that you’re average, comparing yourself to everyone else. No, you have to live like you have His favor, think like you have favor, talk like you have favor, walk like you have favor, dress like you have favor! Not arrogantly. Not in a way that portrays that you’re better than somebody else, but with a quiet confidence knowing that you have the gracious hand of God on your life! Live like you’ve got it because you do!

Esther 2:16 The hand of the Lord will rest upon you. His grace shall lift you, your gift will announce you, favour & mercy shall speak for you, and you will soar and not crawl in Jesus name. Happy New Month.

TOPIC: A Sad End

1 CHRONICLES 10:1-14

“So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it” (1 Chronicles 10:13).

The history of the Church is full of stories of men and women whom God picked up from their lowly state and used greatly for the salvation of men only for them to turn around in the latter days of their lives and die in such a miserable state. One of such was a known American who had such a powerful and healing ministry. When he died at the age 59, he was found to have been an alcoholic. The sad end of notable men of God calls today’s Christians to a more careful and sober walk.

Our text presents us with the story of the death of Saul and his sons. Saul had had a wonderful start. When he was picked to be the first king of Israel, he displayed a great sense of humility and obedience to God. But as his reign became strong and powerful, he derailed to a life of selfwill, stubbornness and disobedience to God’s word. He went to the point of practicing necromancy, that is, seeking divination from spirits of the dead. Unfortunately for him, it was in this sad state that he died.

While success in life and ministry is something very desirable, it can become the source of one’s eternal undoing if it is not properly managed. Many people become so blinded and obsessed with success that they forget their humble beginning and early vows and consecration. Others become so arrogant, proud, self-willed and incorrigible. There are those that allow their success to lead them to wrong companies and associations which result in many compromises and unthinkable sinful practices. And there are those who in the bid to sustain their success, look away from God to indulge in satanic and occult practices.

To properly manage our success, we must constantly keep the word of God before us and see that it guides and directs all our actions and decisions. We must also maintain a humble disposition that will help us to seek and receive counsels from those who can help us.

NOTE
It is not enough to begin well; we must also end well.
