Ever since I made this bag, I’ve been receiving a lot of orders. However, the major challenge I face is pricing. The price always seems to be an issue.
I often ask, “Is it not neat? Do you see any damage or tears? The response I usually get is, It’s handmade. It’s not imported, and it’s not a designer brand.
But those designers and imported bags are made by people like me. Or is it simply because I am not yet a well-known designer?
If we don’t value products made in our own country, how do we expect our economy to grow? How can you say you love something yet refuse to pay its true value? I believe when you truly love something, you are willing to pay for its worth — because you cannot love what you do not value.
Still, I encourage myself. It is normal for people to reject or undervalue your work at the beginning. Even the most well-known designers once faced the same struggles when they were just starting out.

The first picture was sent to me by my friend. She asked, Can you replicate this bag, Divine Fash? I love the shape.
My response was, I will try my best, and God will help me.”
I made a small black version as a prototype and sent it to her to see if it met her expectations. She said she loved it especially the handle strap I added, which allows it to be carried both as a hobo style and as a shoulder bag.
I then went ahead to make the bigger size in the color she selected. As I was working on it, the idea of creating a pattern dropped into my heart because I also fell in love with how beautifully the bag turned out. Hope you love the bag also 😊
