A man who can die if he doesn't want to die; a man who can be sick if he doesn't want to be sick; a man who can age if he doesn't want to age; a man who can lack if he doesn't want to lack, is NOT righteous.

Righteousness is not morality. It is the ability to decide how you want your life to be, and it will be EXACTLY so. It refers to calling the shots in your life.

A righteous man is a man who when he says "yes" in his life, nobody, NOT EVEN GOD, can say no. Nothing can be imposed on the righteous. Jesus said, Nobody (including God) can take my life from me, I laid it down by myself." That is to say, the only way he could die was if he consented to die. That is a righteous man.

A morally upright man who doesn't lie, steal, cheat, etc, but things he doesn't consent to happen to him, is NOT righteous. A man who lies, steals, cheats, kills, etc, but things he doesn't consent to CANNOT happen to him is righteous.

All men are righteous. By "is NOT righteous," I mean EXPERIENTIALLY as opposed to theory. All men are theoretically righteous because they have the ability to decide how their lives will be, and it will be exactly so. Man's ability to decide how he wants his life to be, and it will be so, is his free will.

We talk of free will but we don't know how deep it goes. Free will amounts to omnipotence. Any being that has free will is omnipotent. Man has free will. That means he is omnipotent. Of all creatures, only man has free will.

The beings religion calls angels don't have free will. Their free will (if we may call it that) operates only within the laws of their respective dimensions. It cannot exceed their dimensions.

A four-dimensional "angel" cannot make a five-dimensional decision. A five-dimensional "angel" cannot make a six-dimensional decision. Etc. To elucidate this, let's assume a scenario of three-dimensional intelligent beings that are not humans.

The laws of the three-dimensional nature (that is, the causal agent that creates and controls things in the three-dimensional realm) entail that any being that is native to the three-dimensional realm will die at some point. No other three-dimensional being has the ability to choose not to die except man.

Man can imagine that he will not die. An intelligent three-dimensional being that is not man cannot imagine that it will not die. Imagination translates to possibility. If it is imaginable, it is realisable. In fact, whatever is imagined potentially exists. It will take another post to explain this.

Anything a being can imagine is possible to that being. Man is the only being that can imagine things that defy the laws of his native dimension.

For instance, with regard to our body, our native dimension is the three-dimensional realm of the universe. Gravity, which is a law in this realm, does not permit man to float. But man can imagine himself floating. If he can imagine it, he can realise it.

If the law of gravity does not permit another intelligent being native to this realm to float, that being cannot imagine himself floating. Unlike man, he cannot imagine anything that defies the laws of this realm.

Like I said, the laws of this realm entail that any being native to this realm will die. But man can imagine that he will not die. Other intelligent beings native to this realm cannot imagine that they will not die. Their imaginations run within the natural laws of this realm. This is because while man is a consciousness that lives in a body, every other creature is a body (form) that has a consciousness.

The fact that man is a consciousness that lives in a body is why he survives the termination of his body. All other creatures cannot survive the termination of their bodies, including "angels." If you terminate their body, it is otilo (finished), ma ọ bα»₯rα»₯kwa ọnye Yoruba, for them.

The reality that man is a consciousness puts him in the class of God because God is a consciousness. A consciousness is formless. What is formless is boundless and therefore omnipresent. What is omnipresent is omniscient. What is omniscient is omnipotent.

NB: Air and gas are not formless. They have particles. It is only consciousness that is formless in the universe. Consciousness is what religion calls spirit (immateriality).

There is only one consciousness in the universe. It is what religion calls God. Man is God. While other creatures have God, man is God.

About Cubana Chief Priest's reply to Cosmas Mmaduka... I didn't know Cubana Chief Priest was this articulate. Man is lettered. There is a lot of sense in what he said but that doesn't negate the sense in what Cosmas Mmaduka said. The sense in what he said and the sense in what Cosmas Mmaduka said can coexist side by side.

When man KNOWS himself, he will stop praying and start thinking. Prayer is a function of man's ignorance of who he is. Man needs no aid from outside himself. No matter the problem he faces, the solution is inside him. The solution to all man's problems is his consciousness. Man's problems will be solved by man thinking and not by asking another being to solve them.

Giving Osimhen his accolade.

Someone, referring to Victor Osimhen, asked, "Is it now that the World Cup qualifiers have started?"

He was insinuating that Osimhen's world-class performance against Benin Republic came late, that if he played like that throughout the qualifiers, we would have qualified.

What some people may not know is that out of our 10 matches in the World Cup qualifiers, Osimhen played just 5 matches and scored and/or assisted in each of them, except against Rwanda in Uyo where he was substituted in the 35th minute because he was injured.

- He played against Rwanda in Kigali which we won 2-0 and scored 2 goals.

- He played against Zimbabwe in Uyo which we drew 1-1 and scored our only goal.

- He played against Rwanda in Uyo which we won 1-0. He didn't score, but he was injured and substituted in the 35th minute.

- He played against Lesotho in Polokwane which we won 2-1 and had an assist.

- He played against Benin in Uyo, which we won 4-0 and scored a hat-trick.

Dude delivered. We should give him his accolade. Apart from the goal contributions, his passion, hunger and dedication when playing for Nigeria are noteworthy. I believe if other players had his passion, hunger and dedication we would have topped the group and qualified directly.

Finally, you may not agree with me, but I don't think we have had a player in Osimhen's class. Not even Okocha and Kanu were in his class.

"Nobody can replace his seat."

Someone made the above statement about Rev Dr Uma Ukpai. To many, probably including you, that is a harmless compliment to the late evangelist. But as harmless as that statement may seem, the mindset behind it is one of the greatest banes of Christians.

Sometime in May I addressed a similar statement by Bishop Benson Idahosa's son. He said, "IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to fill my father's shoes."

I wrote that by that statement, Idahosa's son placed a curse (the curse of limitation) on himself and anybody who would believe it. One cannot be bigger than his mindset. Benson Idahosa's son CANNOT be up to his father let alone exceeding him, unless he stops believing in that statement.

You may say it is just a statement and not necessarily his mindset. That is not true. Like Jesus said, out of the abundance of the heart (that is, the mindset), the mouth speaks.

The same way Benson Idahosa's son placed a curse of limitation on himself is how virtually all Christians all over the world place a curse of limitation on themselves by seeing the apostles of Jesus as special humans who cannot be surpassed. Some cannot even conceive that the apostles can be equalled let alone surpassed. To them, the apostles are the standard.

That is why if you say something like "a Christian shouldn't be sick" or "death is a failure," they will check if the apostles were sick or died. If the apostles were sick or died, they would reason that since the apostles were sick and died, there is nothing wrong with a Christian being sick and death is not a failure. Then they start arguing myopically. Very hopeless mindset.

It is unfortunate how people make the limited experience of human beings like them the standard of God's unlimited power, goodness and love. Nobody's experience is and will ever be the standard to measure God's power, goodness and love because God's power, goodness and love are infinite.

Not even Jesus's experience is the standard to measure God's power, goodness and love. That is why he said that if you believe you will do more than he did. And he went on to say that all things are possible to him who believes. Possibilities are endless. Anybody's shoes can be filled.

Christians must understand that the apostles are nowhere near being the standard of what God intends man to be. Otherwise, they will be complacent in mediocrity. If the standard is 100%, the apostles were not up to 1%.

You hear Christians say things like, Let's go back as it was in the days of old, and they think it is a progressive idea. We should be better than that. The manifestations of the so-called days of old are just basics.

This is not to demean anybody, but the truth is that all these folks people look at and say trash like "nobody can replace him" and "it is impossible to fill his shoes" are nonstarters. The fact that they died is proof of what I am saying.

When you become what God wants man to be, you CANNOT die! Impossible! At least not without your consent. Anyone who gets sick, ages, or dies actually failed to become what God wants man to be.

God wants man to be a being that is not subject to nature and its laws. And so, Paul wrote, "When we were children (short of what God wants us to be), we were in bo***ge to the elements of the world [Galatians 4:3].

The elements of nature in question are the laws of nature. Some translators, out of ignorance, translated it as spiritual powers.

It is a law of nature that as you advance in age you become weak and feeble, and also that at some point you will die. If you are subject to those, you are children (short of what God wants man to be). That is what Paul was trying to communicate.

It is important to understand that Jesus of Nazareth was short of what God wants man to be. So he is not the standard. The standard is what he became after his resurrection. Hence, John wrote, "As he IS (not as he was) so are we IN THIS WORLD."

Notice the tenses. It says AS HE IS (that is how he is wherever he is NOW), and not as he was when he was here. Again notice that it didn't say "so we will be when we get to heaven." Instead, it says "so are we in this world."

May we realise how much we are wallowing in mediocrity.

Adieu to Uma Ukpai. πŸ™πŸΎ

The Nigerian dilemma.

Nigerians want Nigeria to qualify for the FIFA World Cup ahead of Benin Republic and South Africa. However, for Nigeria to qualify, it must defeat Benin, and Rwanda must defeat South Africa. If Nigeria defeats Benin and South Africa defeats Rwanda, South Africa will qualify.

If Nigeria fails to qualify, Nigerians prefer Benin to qualify rather than South Africa owing to the rivalry between Nigeria and South Africa.

The dilemma is that the two matches will be played simultaneously. How does the Nigerian team determine that South Africa will win Rwanda or lose to Rwanda so that they will decide whether to win Benin Republic or lose to them? They wouldn't want to defeat Benin only to pave the way for South Africa to qualify.

If we defeat Benin Republic and pave the way for South Africa, we stand a chance of grabbing a playoff spot though.

It is better to be a thief who cannot get sick because he believes in the perfect health God has freely given to all men than to be a man who doesn't steal but gets sick because he fails to believe in the perfect health God gave to all men.

This is to show you how much our minds are messed up.

I share some of the thoughts I share here about endless possibilities and how man shouldn't be subject to nature on my WhatsApp status.

There is my friend who accepts that the thoughts are true. However, when I wrote a few days ago that man shouldn't even be subject to distance, his comment on the status suggests he didn't accept that.

(NB: Man not being subject to distance entails that if he is at point A and wants to be at point B, he does NOT have to cover the distance to be at point B.)

Endless possibilities mean that ANYTHING (not certain things) is possible. Man has the power of endless possibilities. It is his consciousness, which is what Paul calls Christ. Paul wrote, "Christ in you the hope of glory."

Glory is the state of existence whereby one is not subject to anything and everything is subject to one. It is God's state of existence that makes Him God. Man has it because man is in God's class.

Man is not meant to be subject to anything. It is an error/failure for man to be subject to anything at all.

My friend can be likened to people who quote what Jesus says that ALL things are possible, but cannot accept that one can choose to never be sick, never be feeble with age, and never die.

"All things are possible" is English, and a simple grammar at that. I wonder what part of the grammar is difficult to understand. It shows how facts (things we perceive with our senses) have messed up our minds.

Some can only accept that it is possible to never be sick, feeble or die only when a clause like "if it is God's will" is added. They think they are being humble and pious. There is no humility or piety in refusing to accept endless possibilities.

People use "if it is God's will" to justify their failure to receive perfect health, which God freely gives to everyone. God wants you perfectly well, and He actually made you perfectly well. "By his stripes you are healed" are not empty words.

Whether we will experience the "healing" (constant perfect health) depends on us. If we fall sick, it means we have failed to believe in God who has freely given us perfect health. It is impossible to believe in God and be sick. Anybody who is sick does not believe in God. Period.

Since I started writing about endless possibilities, I don't reply to every comment on my posts. I only reply to those who want to learn. I ignore those who are bent on arguing and disagreeing with the subject. It is not out of rudeness but out of understanding because I was in their shoes.

It took me much intentionality, determination, effort and time to deconstruct my fact-based ideas, arguments, and beliefs that oppose or reject the knowledge of endless possibilities.

Faith does not deny facts. Yes. But it refuses to recognise or consider facts as a factor. It sees beyond facts. "Abraham did not consider the deadness of his body and the deadness of Sarah's womb."

People confuse faithfulness for faith. It is the major reason they struggle to grapple with statements like "anybody who is sick does not believe in God."

If you make such a statement, their minds will go to a faithful person they think had faith but was sick, for instance, the apostles. They will reason, if the apostles were sick then one can have faith and be sick. I was like that. There were people I saw as men of faith because they were faithful. People who would rather die than tell an ordinary lie. Because they fell sick I thought one can have faith and be sick.

Faithfulness is good, but it is not faith, and it does not and cannot substitute faith.

It is better to have faith than to be faithful. It is better to be a thief who cannot get sick because he believes in the perfect health God gives than to be a man who doesn't steal but gets sick because he fails to believe.

"Without faith it is impossible to please God." [Hebrew 11:6]

Sunday Oliseh on resigning as Super Eagles manager! πŸ‘€ 12/10/2025

Sunday Oliseh has my respect for this. When he resigned from his job as coach of the Super Eagles in 2016, I wrote a post saying that when I heard the news, I gave him a standing ovation. I literally stood up and clapped for him as I watched the news on TV. Then I wrote that post as my literary ovation to him. (I may look for the post and repost it.)

A woman whose husband is dead has a right to romance. May we as a society come to a level of realisation where we recognise this.

She has a right to seek and have another romantic life, even as much as an unmarried girl. She is not dishonouring her late husband or in-laws by doing so. And, I am not talking about doing it in secret as if she is doing something inappropriate. I mean, a level of realisation that allows her to be open about desiring and seeking romance. That is why I added, "even as much as an unmarried girl."

A woman whose husband is dead should not be condemned to celibacy, or to just a life of raising her children. She does not stop having romantic needs because she lost her husband. Her romantic needs do not die with her husband.

Now, whether she should seek another romantic life strictly within marriage or not is another thing. It depends on HER moral and/or religious convictions, and not on anybody's moral and/or religious convictions, just as it is with the unmarried girl. But it is high time our society stops slut-shaming women whose husbands are dead for merely seeking romance.
