Senator Amos K. Yohanna Distributes 2,000 Bags of Fertilizer to Farmers in Adamawa North Senatorial District

Mubi, Adamawa State— 19th August, 2026

The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, Senator Amos K. Yohanna, has announced the distribution of 2,000 bags of fertilizer to farmers across the Senatorial District, as part of his continued commitment to improving agricultural productivity, strengthening food security, and supporting the livelihoods of rural farmers.

The fertilizer distribution is designed to provide timely agricultural inputs to farmers and enable them to increase their crop yields, reduce production constraints, and contribute more significantly to food production within the district and beyond.

Speaking on the initiative, Senator Amos K. Yohanna ably represented by the APC Zonal Chairman, Northern Zone, Hon. Stephen N. Doma, he reaffirmed his commitment to practical interventions that directly improve the lives and economic prospects of the people of Adamawa North.

“Agriculture remains a critical pillar of our economy and a major source of livelihood for our people. By providing farmers with essential inputs such as fertilizer, we are investing not only in this farming season but also in food security, economic empowerment, and the future prosperity of our communities.”

The fertilizer distribution represents another significant intervention by Senator Yohanna in the Senatorial District. It comes in addition to the ongoing construction of examination halls across Adamawa North, aimed at improving the learning environment and supporting students as they prepare for important examinations.

Governor Fintiri Constitutes State Government Delegation For 2026 Christian Pilgrimage To Israel

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has approved the constitution of the Government Delegation for the 2026 Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

The Committee is chaired by HRM Johnson Diyo Matalo, the Gubo Yungur.

The Governor called on members of the delegation to justify the confidence reposed in them by being transparent, accountable, and focused on the spiritual objectives of the pilgrimage.

Governor Fintiri reiterated the commitment of his administration to continue to support religious activities that promote peace, unity, and moral values in the state.

PRESS STATEMENT
I have received with deep sadness the disturbing report of the alleged shooting of Alhaji Suleiman Abubakar of Yelwa Ward in Mubi, which has left him receiving medical treatment at the Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital.

This unfortunate incident is deeply concerning and deserves the attention of all who value the sanctity of human life. While our security personnel continue to make enormous sacrifices in the service of our nation, every engagement with members of the public must be guided by professionalism, restraint, and respect for human rights.

I therefore call on the appropriate security authorities to undertake a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. Whatever the outcome of such an investigation, justice must not only be done but must also be seen to have been done.

Although I am currently outside the country on an official assignment, I have been fully briefed on the situation and have continued to follow developments with keen interest. My thoughts and prayers are with Alhaji Habu Sulaiman, his family, and all those affected by this unfortunate incident. I pray that Almighty God grants him complete healing and a speedy recovery.

As the Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, I will continue to advocate for the protection of the lives and dignity of our people while supporting every lawful effort aimed at strengthening public confidence in our security institutions. Our collective commitment must remain the preservation of peace, justice, and the rule of law.
