Aniviye, warmly received members of the Limawa “A” Ward Zone “C” Development Association during a courtesy visit to his office at the State Command Headquarters in Minna.
The delegation, which comprised youths and elders from the Limawa community, expressed appreciation for the cordial reception accorded them by the State Commandant. Speaking on behalf of the association, the Chairman, who introduced himself as Abdullahi Iliyasu Danlami a trained journalist with Radio Niger and an indigene of the community, emphasized the important relationship between security agencies and the media in addressing security challenges, particularly at the grassroots level.
The Chairman gave a brief history of the Limawa community, noting that the area was previously known for incidents of thuggery, youth restiveness, and phone snatching, especially around the Limawa and Old Airport Quarters bridge axis.
However, he stated that the establishment of the Development Association and the emergence of proactive leadership had brought about significant positive changes in the community.
According to him, the association has been actively engaged in sensitization campaigns targeted at youths in the area, encouraging them to shun criminal activities and embrace peaceful coexistence. These efforts, he noted, have contributed immensely to the reduction of insecurity within the community.

In his response, Commandant S.S. Aniviye commended the association for their commitment to community development and security consciousness despite the unfavorable weather condition. He described the community-driven approach to security as commendable and worthy of emulation by other communities across the local government and state.
The Commandant stated that when communities take ownership of security matters and work closely with security agencies, it significantly reduces crime and other insecurity-related challenges. He assured the delegation that the Command would intensify patrol activities around Limawa and adjoining areas.
Commandant Aniviye also disclosed that the Command is expecting additional security gadgets and operational equipment that would enhance effective patrol and rapid response operations across the state. He urged members of the community to remain vigilant and promptly report cases of vandalism of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure to the Corps.
