Providing first-line support for survivors of Gender-based violence (GBV) in Kano state and Northern

Nigeria has long been facing a gender-based violence crisis, with 30% of women and girls aged 15-49 experiencing sexual abuse. Lack of proper coordination amongst key stakeholders and poor implementation of the legal frameworks for girl child & women protection, combined with entrenched gender discriminatory norms, has hampered government and civil society efforts to address gender-based violence.
