APC Screening Committee Clears Hon. David Idris Zacharias for Idah Federal Constituency Primary

Hon. David Idris Zacharias, the lawmaker representing Idah Federal Constituency, has been cleared by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee to contest the party’s forthcoming primary election.

The screening, conducted ahead of the party’s primaries for National Assembly seats, verified the eligibility and qualifications of aspirants seeking the APC ticket. Hon. Zacharias successfully presented his credentials, including his academic records, party membership documents, and evidence of previous legislative service, meeting all constitutional and party requirements.

Speaking briefly after the exercise in Abuja, Hon. Zacharias expressed gratitude to the committee and the party leadership for a transparent and orderly process. He reaffirmed his commitment to the APC’s principles and pledged to adhere to the party’s guidelines throughout the primary election.

The lawmaker, who has served in the House of Representatives for almost two terms, noted that his decision to seek re-election under the APC platform stems from his desire to continue ongoing development projects and attract more democratic dividends to the people of Idah Federal Constituency.

The APC primary election schedule will be announced by the party’s national leadership in due course. Delegates and party faithful in Idah, Ofu, Igalamela-Odolu and Ibaji local government areas have been urged to remain peaceful and support a free and fair process while maintaining that ranking is the best option for our people.
