For years, I never missed a single Christmas with my loved ones—killing chickens, cooking rams, stirring pots of jollof rice, running errands, picking up loved ones from afar just to lead them home. The laughter, the joy of reuniting with old friends and family, the bright smiles that lit up every corner… those memories were priceless.

But oh, how I took it all for granted. This year, I’m far away, spending Christmas alone, and it just doesn’t feel the same. 🥺 “20 friends can’t play for 20 years,” they say, and this year, it hit me harder than ever. Yet, we move!
