This statement is not just relative to couples, it relates to all relationships, siblings, parents and children, friends, colleagues, employees and employers, leaders and followers.

We are so often misunderstood, which turns to hurt, and then things begin to go wrong.
All because of words and actions misunderstood.

The sender(person whos words or actions) does not always realise the receiver(person who felt offended) was hurt or possibly misinterpreted the situation.
And unfortunately when we are offended we deal with it by either, shutting the person out abruptly or slowly pulling away emotionally, or lashing out right back at the person who offended us. All these actions have negative repercussions, hence why the cycle continues.
