THE STUBBORN GENERATOR
Mr. Bala bought a new generator and warned everyone,
“Don’t touch it. This generator understands only me.”
One night, the light went off.
His wife said, “Bala, fuel the generator.”
Bala went outside, pulled the rope—nothing.
Pulled again—kpaa! Silence.
Sweating, he shouted, “This generator is testing me.”
His son tried once—vrrrrm! It started.
Bala cleared his throat and said,
“I was just warming it up for you.”
The generator went off again.
Everyone slept in darkness…
Except the generator, which was enjoying the attention.
