I got to know about it when someone I know was remanded in prison custody pending fulfillment of his bail condition. Omo when them reach prison, we started seeing price list.

There is the normal prison (free)

There is the less conjested prison of about 8 persons (around 100-120k)

VIP prison that feels like home or maybe a fairly comfortable hostel.

I learnt something, the reason why there is so much congestion in Nigeria prison is because they want to leave some space for special prisoners. In Nigeria, every sector is corrupt.
