A site engineer or builder must clearly understand the role of columns and lintels in ensuring structural stability on site. Columns must be correctly positioned on foundations, properly aligned, and reinforced according to structural drawings, with adequate concrete quality and compaction to safely transfer loads to the ground. Lintels, on the other hand, are essential structural members that carry blockwork above doors and windows. They must be cast at uniform levels, adequately reinforced, well supported during casting, and properly cured. Careless ex*****on of either element can lead to cracks, deformation, or structural failure.
